The company was founded In 1860 when
Henry W. Pollard first registered the
organisation started earlier by his father.

Since then the company has always been at the forefront of the building scene. During the latter part of the 20th century the company became a major force in the construction of schools, public buildings, hospital facilities and industrial and commercial facilities as public demand for improved services grew.

Prior to 1986 the company had operated as a partnership. With an eye to the future the then owner, Hugh Pollard, created a limited company and a number of Directors were appointed from within the existing management team.

These Directors ultimately took control of the company in an amicable management buy-out in 1997.

The company is now in a period of steady and controlled growth with a turnover of some £20m and the ability to undertake a wide variety of projects ranging in value from £5,000 to £3m.
