Henry W Pollard & Sons Ltd has established an enviable reputation as a professional building contractor offering a wide range of services to a diverse and increasing number of customers.

The company has the ability and resources to undertake all types of work ranging from complex refurbishments in occupied premises to extensive new build projects in both traditional and modern styles of construction.

Based in modern premises in Bridgwater, the Company is able to offer these services over a large part of the South-West utilising its location close to the M5 motorway.

The Company is organised into two operating divisions, each with its own management team. The Major Works Division undertakes projects valued between £450,000 and £4m whilst the Minor Works Division deals with jobs smaller than these and also offers a responsive maintenance service. The success of this latter division is founded firmly on the experience and ability of our directly employed tradesmen many of whom trained with the company. 

Within the Head Office site are large areas of open and covered storage together with our garage, stores and workshop. Joinery products are supplied by our associate company, Blake Joinery, who offer a complete service in joinery products using both hardwood and softwood.

These facilities enable the company to provide a rapid and effective response to requests from our customers.

Six Directors head the Company, each with departmental responsibilities:

David Nisbet is the Managing Director and co-ordinates all activities but is specifically responsible for the service departments within the company.

Ian Watt manages the Minor Works Division.   

Danny O'Loughlin is the Company Secretary and Director of Finance.

Mark Smith heads up the Major Works Department

Martin Blake is the Technical and Safety Director

Paul White heads the Estimating and Quantity Surveying Departments

Our mission can be summed up as follows:-
